SportGearTrader ("we," "us") publishes this statement to be transparent about the data this website collects and how it's used — following the same disclosure categories Apple requires of apps in its App Store privacy labels, applied here to our website. If SportGearTrader launches a companion mobile app in the future, that app's own App Store privacy label and an updated version of this statement will cover it specifically.
Summary
We do not run analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts of any kind on this site. The site ships no third-party runtime scripts or trackers, so by default nothing about your visit is collected beyond standard, anonymous web server logs. We do not sell personal data, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
Data we collect, and why

We do not currently operate login, gear listings, or messaging directly on this website. Account creation and in-app activity (listings, requests, exchange history) will be handled by a future native iOS/Android app; when that launches, its data practices will be disclosed in that app's App Store privacy label and in an updated version of this page.
Who we share data with
- Stripe — processes payment and billing information when you use the Become a Member or Account links. Stripe's own privacy practices govern that data; see stripe.com/privacy.
We do not share, rent, or sell your data to advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party.
Tracking
This site does not use cookies for tracking, does not run advertising pixels, and does not use any third-party analytics service. We do not track your activity across other companies' apps or websites.
Data retention
Server logs are retained only as long as needed for security and reliability purposes, then deleted on a rolling basis. Any billing/account data lives in Stripe's systems and is retained according to Stripe's own policies and applicable law.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- Tell you what data we hold that's linked to you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete data we hold that's linked to you
- Export a copy of your data

Children's privacy
SportGearTrader is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Security
We rely on reputable, industry-standard providers (such as Stripe) for any sensitive data processing, and this site is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the limited data described above.

If this statement changes, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
